What if men were photographed the way women typically were? I love this!
Can men be photographed like this all the time

What is “Buffy the vampire slayer” ? part 3
One of the first tv shows focused on strong female characters , making the heroine , Buffy Summers , a feminist icon. After 10 years , we still remember each one of these characters : independant , fierce , warrior , bad ass. It’s not only about physical strengh or how well they use their weapons , it’s about their journey ( emotionnal pain…) and how they get through the worst , stronger than ever. They came to win , to fight ,to rise.

I always get super annoyed when I hear about people in civil service (not you!) are inefficient and inept and should just be fired and taken away from the gene pool - see: Coco’s boss. I hope he isn’t one, for your sake.
No, I really don’t think that’s the case with my boss’ boss. It’s more like, he’s the manager of the entire division, so he has a lot of things to do, and maybe he sucks at time management. And I understand that I’m no one’s main priority right now. I just thought they would have a lot more work for me to do.
They also seem to have really unrealistic expectations re: deadlines. My first project essentially consisted of reading a bunch of government-wide/agency-specific policies and directives on information management, and then making three PowerPoint presentations to train new employees on the fine art of managing your information. I asked my boss when it was due and she said, “Try to hand a draft in by June 12th.” IT WAS MAY FIRST. WHO NEEDS SIX WEEKS TO MAKE THREE POWERPOINTS?
- drink whenever someone notes the crown molding
- drink whenever someone talks about a room being good for “entertaining”
- drink whenever a gay couple makes a joke about closet space
- drink whenever someone asks, “this is the master bedroom?” with clear distaste
- drink whenever the realtor only addresses the woman about the kitchen
- drink whenever they pick the WRONG FUCKING HOUSE

It occurred to me that I haven’t written a personal entry in a while, since work is consuming my life right now.
My job continues to be… good. I’m less crazy about it now because my boss is away on vacation, and her boss is really busy and doesn’t have a lot of time to check in with me about anything. Not that I need someone to hold my hand while I work, but for example - today I finished my last project around noon and emailed it to him. He said that he’d stop by “sometime in the afternoon” to give me his comments on my previous project. I asked him what he wanted me to work on in the meantime and he said I should just wait for him to come see me.
Except he didn’t.
I was at my desk for over four hours waiting for this man to show up. I read a few chapters of a book I have to review for my summer class, until I got so angry at the author that I got a headache. I played games on my cellphone. I read Wikipedia articles and Dear Prudie columns on Slate.com. None of these things are what I’m actually paid to do.
I always feel bad for complaining because I do like the work. It’s not what I want to do for the rest of my life, but it’s enjoyable, it’s well-paid and I’m with a great team. I just miss my friendly, upbeat boss who came by to chat at least once a day and I’m looking forward to her return.
